Why do you portray yourself as a furry?

I've always loved animals, and identify pretty strongly with big cats. The very first fantasy persona I created for myself was a cheetah, hence the 'cheekitty.com'.

How long have you been drawing?

Since as long as I can remember. I believe my parents still have a lovely piece from 1985 I scratched into the wall of the bathroom with a barette (Hey, I was bored!).

Have you had any formal training?

Unless we count jr high art class and 3 weeks of an oil painting class I took at a Michaels store... no. I have am completely self-taught.

What materials do you use?

For sketching, I like Canson's sketchbooks; the ones with the green covers. For gouache and watercolour, I like Arches hotpress watercolour paper. I like a good 0.5 mm mechanical pencil, and use a variety of paintbrushes and paints.

Where do you get your inspiration?

Alot of my drawings come from interactions with friends either online or in real life. My artistic inspirations come from everywhere- modern art, rennaissance classics, nature...

Do you do commissions?

Sometimes! Please see my commissions page for rates and further information.

Do you do art trades?

Again, sometimes! It depends on my current workload and what the person making the request wants.

Do you make public appearances at conventions?

The only convention I attend regularly is Midwest FurFest, because it's a local con for me. My schedule for 2008 has not yet been finalized.
